The Transfer Station

The Town Transfer Station is located at 1850 Rangeline Road. It is available to all Town of Washington residents and is accessible by permit only. Town issued permits must be shown to the attendant upon entrance to the facility.

Those without a permit will be turned away and not allowed to dump their trash. Please have your CURRENT permit visible for attendant.

The Town has 2 large compactors - one for garbage and one for recyclables. All recyclables can be put in the the recycle compactor. You will only need to separate large scrap metal items from your recyclables. Place large metal items and scrap metal in the metal dumpster outside the building. All garbage must be placed in the garbage compactor.

We participate in the NexTrex Community Challenge recycling program. Please deposit all plastic bags and plastic sheeting in the NexTrex containers.

Summer Hours – May 2, 2025 through October 6, 2025
8am to noon Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday

Winter Hours- October 11, 2024 through April 27, 2025
8am to noon Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

The Transfer Station will continue summer hours through Cranberry Fest Monday

The Transfer Station will be OPEN on Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day 2025

The Transfer Station will be CLOSED for the following holidays in 2025: Easter Sunday April 20, 2025
